Obituaries

It is with great sadness that the family announce Margaret Gladys (Ford) MacDonald (nee Quast) passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024 at the age of 88 years.

In the early days, she enjoyed her time at her Regina Beach, SK cottage with all her family. She and Archie really enjoyed travelling and going to the gospel jamborees. She loved her plants, her coffee outings and walking at the Northgate Mall in Regina, SK where she met with friends. Always smiling, sharing her treats and sneaking snacks wrapped in tissue to bring back to her room at The Bentley for when grandchildren would visit. Despite her memory loss she was proud of her grandkids.

She was predeceased by her parents Martha and Jacob Quast; first husband Henry Ford; her brothers and sisters-in-law Bert Twast (Eve), Jack Quast (Edna), John Quast (Olive); her sister Alma Bourassa (Al); son Robert (Bob Ford), and daughter Debbie Blair (Sodeman).

She is survived by her loving husband Archie MacDonald; her children Maureen Kupiec (Willie), Cindy Crowe (Pat), Kelly Ford (Diane), Scott Ford (Trisha); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother Charlie Quast (Pricilla); as well as nieces, nephews and Archie’s family.

Celebration of Life will be held in Heritage Alliance Church, 3575 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Shea Durston officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret MacDonald may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. The family wish to thank all the staff at the Lumsden and District Heritage Home, Lumsden, SK for all their support in the care of our Mother.
