My deepest condolences to all the family.

I miss Lorne and I have missed him for a long time. Somehow we had lost contact, no matter how I tried to find him. We went to youth group together at Grace Lutheran Church. We were good friends and got our Rn together at WIASS many years ago. We spent many hours with my family and friends playing hand/foot canasta. Lorne left me with many good memories. I pray for God's comfort to his family and friends. God's speed Lorne. We will meet again. You will always live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.

So sad to hear of your passing Lorne. You are loved and missed. I love how you always filled in when someone didn’t show up. I also appreciated your real direct honesty. You said what needed to be said (usually with grace) so things could improve. I remember after we build the new sound booth watching you try to run sound, flip slides and play bass all at the same time. You were the octopus we needed some days. I’m so glad that you are well and with your Lord now. Amen brother.

Lorne was a loyal and reliable friend to us and our son, Joshua. We remember Lorne’s faithfulness in serving in so many ways at Glen Elm Lutheran and Celebration Lutheran churches. He could be found at the soundboard or on the platform playing bass guitar, flute or recorder. He had a beautiful baritone singing voice and I (Cheryle) had the privilege of singing with him on several occasions. Lorne was a faithful member of our worship team and we served together at many functions as well as church services. Lorne loved to bake and his cakes were epic masterpieces! He made and decorated a cake for our son’s birthday one year that portrayed a NASCAR racetrack including the Jeff Gordon #24 race car and checkered flag!
Lorne worked with David at CVA for several years. He was an excellent employee and very good with the public. Customers would come in just to visit with Lorne. He was very well-liked by co-workers and customers. Our condolences to all of Lorne’s family and friends. May God grant you comfort at this very sad time.

Sincere condolences to Lorne's family and friends who have suffered a heartbreaking loss. I had lost contact with Lorne but have many fond memories of his kind nature, how he spent hours setting up/taking down sound equipment in order to help someone else, how he always had a gadget to fix or adjust anything. His big laugh over something he found funny and the all around good sport that he was. I recall dancing polkas with him and he would spin so quickly my feet were flying behind me without touching the floor. Once my shoe flew off! A smooth dancer he was. And then there were his cakes- so many forms of chocolate consolidated into a single cake! It was definitely a dessert experience. A one of a kind guy and not to be forgotten.

Lorne was a friend and co-worker for many years. He had the kind of sense of humor we needed in our work. I'm so sorry to loose you Lorne. Will miss you and wish I'd spent more time keeping in touch after retirement. Love from. Linda

Lorne was liked by all and such a good servant at church. I recall him doing soundboard too for a Women’s event I led. He started out where I did at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. At Glen Elm, he made banners to decorate the church and I helped him create one of them. We have not seen him in many years but glad we knew him well in one chapter of our lives. In the early 2000s while attending celebration church we enjoyed playing uptempo RnB gospel music for the congregational praise and worship time. Lorne on electric bass and I on trumpet 🎺and flugelhorn Ulla on piano 🎹 and Greg on lead guitar. 🎸 Cheryl leading singing and solos. What a group it was

My sympathy to Lorne's family. I worked with Lorne for many years at CVA and he taught me the finer points of cribbage we played together every day. Loved his sense of humor and caring heart. I will miss his friendship.

So sorry to hear of Lorne’s passing. Condolences to his family. We had many adventures. He was a big help when I first arrived in Canada
