Carrigan (nee Pollock), Lois Ann

March 12, 2023

Lois Ann Carrigan (nee Pollock)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Carrigan at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, Regina, SK on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the age of 76 years. Lois was predeceased by her parents Catherine (Kate) and William Henry (Peck) Pollock and her nephew Daryl Pollock. Lois is survived by her husband Dennis; daughter Leah (Bruce); son Patrick; granddaughter Jaiden; grandson Stephen; her sisters Janet Pollock and Victoria Pollock; her brother Garry Pollock; nieces Brenda Pollock (Brad), Kathy Rodgers (Simon) and Sheena Carrigan (Rej); and her nephew Dennis Carrigan.

Lois lived in Regina for all but the first few months of her life, attending Central Collegiate and Sheldon Williams Collegiate. She worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses and then retired to spend summers at her beloved cottage at Alice Beach, SK. Lois was a keen gardener and there were always fresh vegetables and gorgeous flowers at her home. Her cooking was amazing. If you were lucky enough to have her cook for you, it felt like an expression of her love. She loved children and sponsored several through World Vision. Lois adored all animals and found great joy from her many pets.

The family would like to thank Dr. J.S. McMillan, Dr. M. Iqbal and the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for the exceptional care and comfort provided to Lois. A Private Celebration of Lois’s Life will be held in the Summer of 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Regina Humane Society.

Dennis and Family, we are sorry to hear of Lois's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of a wife, sister and mother. We were glad that we had a chance to visit last summer as the family gatherings get fewer and life passes us so quickly these days. Take care and keep the fond memories of Lois close to your heart.
