Miss you dear and beautiful friend, you truly were like sunshine. Thank you for your friendship, such a true gift. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to Leslie’s beautiful girls, your mom’s love for you is forever and ever. Take care and bless you all.

There are so many wonderful memories I have of Leslie. We first met at NAIT in the photography program. One event showed me just how special she really was. I got a dream job to go to Italy for 2 weeks and photograph Tuscany for chef Umberto Menghi. He was very generous and paid for an assistant, so I asked Leslie. Unbeknownst to me that Tuscany was the one place she always dreamed of visiting. Needless to say we had a blast. One night Umberto had planned for all of the guests at his Villa/Cooking School to make their own pizzas. Leslie set out and made herself a pizza with all her favourite ingredients. She carefully placed it in the outdoor oven, only to have it stolen by a billionaire guest! Undeterred, she made herself another one and genuinely said I hope he enjoys it! The definition of a Mensch she was. And the sister I always longed for. To Makenzie, Stevie, Abbey, and Sunny I am heartbroken for your loss and here for you. Rest in Pease Les ❤️

Our hearts sunk when we heard of Leslie’s passing. Leslie and I became close friends in high school and we both stood up for each other at our weddings. We had a lot of great times together. She always had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. My deepest condolences to the girls as well as Dale and family. Until our paths cross again. ❤️

I am sad to hear of Leslie’s passing. She was a bright light who lit up the room. I will always remember her smile and how she exuded joy. I am fortunate to own a set of her paintings, which I will treasure dearly. Leslie, you will be greatly missed. Hugs to your beautiful girls and your extended family

Leslie was the sweetest soul. Her smile and enthusiasm were 100%. We shared a studio for awhile many years back and I feel so blessed that I had the chance to get to know her then and reconnect with her last summer. Even though she had suffered plenty, her smile was still so incredibly contagious. One of those souls you know were very blessed to have connected with. Love you always Les.

I am saddened to hear of Leslie’s passing. I haven’t seen her in many yrs but her beautiful smile and sunny personality always shone through.

Leslie gave so much by sharing her beautiful gifts. To be one of her circle made life lovelier. I have faith her love will envelope each of you, Kenzie, Stevie, Abbey, Sunny, during this difficult time. We ache for you.

Leslie was pure sunshine. She was my favourite of all my mom’s friends. I grew up with touches of Leslie in my home — a picture or painting here, a hand painted bench there, each piece beautiful just like she was. My mom always told me, “Leslie is a true artist, she can make anything beautiful!” This was the truth! For my wedding shower, Leslie created the most beautiful flower crowns for me and my bridesmaids. A special gift, from a special lady, that I will cherish forever.

Hi Dale & Family My deepest condolences to you and the rest of the family and her girls. I haven't seen Leslie your Dads passing, but your Aunt Diane (my cousin) and I keep in close touch weekly and she kept me updated on your sister. I had hoped to reconnect sooner but have had my own medical hold ups the last 7 years and couldn't travel much. Regardless she gave me a good recipe for that Norwegian staple - Lefsa which I attempt to make on occasion. I have many family pictures that I'm working on of that family from the 1950's that I would like to pass on at some point. I hope to connect this summer if I can get to Regina. I'm sure I would have enjoyed her company and am truly sorry I won't be able to now. Too many have gone before - too early. Again so sorry Terry
