Gorski, Leroy

September 17, 2024

Leroy Gorski

Leroy Gorski, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the age of 85.

Leroy was predeceased by his parents Fred and Marie Gorski. Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Doreen; his children Don Gorski (Shelly), Rhonda Thompson (Kevin), Stu Gorski (Bonnie), Treena Herom (Kevin) and Sandy Gorski; grandchildren Zach (Jenni), Adria (Shea), Peyton (Cass), Kendal, Jared, Sam, Jack (Gabbi), Kyle (Sam), Meghan (Brady), Cameron (Cole), Hudson and great-grandchild Zander.

Leroy grew up in Regina and married Doreen Loreth in 1961. He worked for Percival Mercury for 32 years and up until the time of his death continued to work at H&R Block.

Leroy enjoyed curling, skiing, golfing, travelling and doing crossword puzzles daily. He loved to watch his grandkids’ sports, especially hockey. Most of all he loved to sit back, rum and coke in hand, and watch his family have fun. He was the best host and always made sure you had a drink in your hand and a smile on your face, whether it was by the pool or around his bar.

At Leroy’s request, a Private Memorial Service will be held.

Special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital in both Unit 3D and Palliative Care Unit 3A. They all commented that he was the best patient and his quick wit and humour was with him right until the end.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Pasqua Hospital.

Condolences

Rob & Cathy Deics

Our deepest condolences Doreen, Don, Rhonda, Treena, Stu and Sandy and extended family. Personally I have so many fond memories of Leroy and time spent hanging out at the basement bar or in the back yard hanging out by the pool! His sly wit and matching smile kept me and the boys on our toes! He will be sadly missed but a life well lived with memories to match!

Prayers and Love,
Deics Family
