Our father was a man of few words, so he may find this a bit lengthy.
Lawrence was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and was raised and farmed most of his life south of Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan.
In his lifetime he also worked for Kramer Tractor, worked maintaining the large construction equipment that built the Lake Diefenbaker Dam and also owned and operated a small company called Ameco Distributors.
After his retirement, Lawrence donated much of his time to the Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village and Museum where he enjoyed refurbishing old tractors and stationary engines. When he finally got one working, the smile on his face was something to behold.
Lawrence thought the world of his wife and daughters and had amassed many friends through his activities.
Lawrence was predeceased by his siblings Ken, Milton, Clarence, Willis, Don, Ethel and Lenore. He is survived by his wife Ruth of 72 years; daughters Carolyn (Jim) Inglis and Louise Armstrong (Keith Galbraith); grandchildren Kane Kintzle, Lucus (Megan) Kintzle and their children Corbin and Keaton, Scott (Charity) Armstrong and their children Madison and Royce, Brent (Chrystal) Armstrong and their children Hayden and Alex, Meagan Armstrong and her son Bradley.
Lawrence loved his cats! He would always comment, “Did you ever see such a fine cat?” as Boots sat on his knee. Boots will miss you.
Our father was a great gardener. Loved to plant tomatoes, among other things, and watch them grow. If you are planting a garden this year, please plant a tomato plant and think of him.
He lived a good, long life, worked hard and instilled that into his children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Palliative Care, Pasqua Hospital for the care given to Lawrence.
We will forever miss you!

Dear Ruth, Carolyn and Louise, We are sending our thoughts and refreshing our memories of Lawrence and our Dad... seemingly skillfully solving problems together as well as designing a few nail-biting escapades... laugh-out-loud funny in retrospect. The obituary is well done.

Thank you for sending your Father's Obit. I am sure I met him many years ago. He lived a good long life. He did lots of "stuff". It was a good read. My condolences. He will be missed. Remember all the good times. Ron Milani.
