June 16, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Sazinski on June 16, 2026 at the age of 70.
Larry was larger than life and he will be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the kindness he showed throughout his life. Whether sharing a joke, lending a hand, or spending time with family, he brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
For many years, Larry worked as a City of Regina transit operator where he was known for his dedication and friendly nature. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing darts, spending time outdoors, and listening to music. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Gayle Heglin; their little Westie Benson; their daughter Chelsey (Adam); grandchildren Reid and Thomas. Larry's son Chris (Amanda); granddaughter Anna and daughter Amanda; grandchildren Henry and Lennon; his mother Katherine; siblings Cheryl and Dave; and many extended family members and friends.
Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been made. Forever loved, always remembered, and profoundly missed.

Dear Gayle, Chelsey & family; Larry will be so deeply missed. I think of him and smile because he had a way to make everyone smile or laugh. The secret to life is to enjoy it, no matter the circumstance, I think Larry had that gift. He’ll never be far away, the energy of those we love stay close and watch over us. Larry was a ‘good man’, he loved his family (and Benson). Deepest sympathy to all who loved and cared for him. Sending peace and love to you all.💔

Dear Gayle and family. I am sad to hear of the passing of Larry. He will always be remembered in my heart as a very fine individual. Which he is and was a wonderful person. Whenever I saw him he always genuinely said hello and asked how I was. His warm compassionate smile and caring persona would always brighten up my day. There are not too many folk like him around. I will be forever grateful for having the honour to have known him. Wishing you all love at this time. Good by Larry you will always be missed and never forgotten. Andrea

I know Larry will be missed and remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Always a quick smile, a helpful hand and an honest caring. So many memories... beginning the summer Larry, Gayle and I met to their late evening visit to help with the air conditioner I could not for the life of me figure out (and all the visits in between). Gayle, Chelsey and family, my heart is with you.

Larry will be so loving remembered doing all the crazy things he did. One of my fave memories is him driving Gayle, me and our kids up to the natural hot springs at Top Of The World Park. He kept the kids below so we could skinny dip in one of the pools above. As we were driving down the mountain on the far side, and knowing his wife’s great fear of driving off the high mountain road, he very calmly stated that he was going to pull across the wrong side of the highway to let others pass. I think I can still hear Gayle gasping and grabbing for the door handle…lol. And we also thank uncle Larry (not) for the many times we had to listen to Stompin Tom after he inspired my son Luke to also become a fan….
We are always available and on call 24/7.
