Karen Delilah Jones (nee Kotyk), late of Regina, Saskatchewan was born on March 4, 1959 in Canora Hospital to Peter and Elsie Kotyk. Karen earned her angel wings on October 9, 2023 at Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 64.
Karen was predeceased by father Peter J. Kotyk; grandparents John and Katie Kotyk and Alex and Mary Eftoda; uncles and aunts Morris and Vicky Sackney; Walter Kowalchuk; Willy and Sandy Kotyk; John and Stephie Ternowski; Steve Obodiak; in-laws; Ken and Katherine Jones and Les Noel; nephew Brian Pascoe.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories are Karen’s husband James Lewis Jones; children Robert (Tammy) Abraham and their children Mackenzie, Nevin, Syerra, Kassidey and Trinity; Gene Holowka (Krystal Morgan); Krislynn (Allan) Rook and their children Tylan, Aidan, Tylene and Kendra; Jimmy (Tricia) Jones; Jonathan (Ryshanne) Jones and their children Istyn, Isla and Jayce; Jason (Justine) Jones and their children Lucy and Eve; Joyce Parsons and her children Ryan (Stephanie), Niceena (Neil) Karcher, Geanine and Yazmine; Crystal (Brett) Heltman and their children Colton (Courtney) Lee, Hudsen, Colby Jones, Tayler Jones and Jordyn Heltman; Kim (Jeremy) Trask and their children Sebastian and Jadah; her mother Elsie Kotyk; siblings Dennis Kotyk, Val (Alvin) VanCaeseele, Rita (Brent) Byers, Michael Kotyk, Sharon (Rob) Prazma and Amanda (Michael) Hitchens; in-laws; Carol (Jim) Waffle, Bill Pascoe and Colleen Jones; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate Karen’s Life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pilot Butte Community Hall, 222 Diamond Place, Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan. As per Karen’s request, please join us with your stories and memories while we play kaiser, canasta and crib.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.
For those who so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Special Olympics Saskatchewan, 1121 Winnipeg Street, Regina Saskatchewan S4R 1J5 or Regina Minor Football, Box 932, Regina, Saskatchewan S4P 3B1 or Gift cards may be donated to Palliative Care Services at the Regina Pasqua Hospital Unit 3A, Regina, Saskatchewan to purchase supplies that the family was fortunate to receive.

I was so sad to hear of Karen’s passing. Karen was a special lady, with a heart of gold. She drove my granddaughter McKenzie to school for many years. Karen & Jim were like a second set of grandparents to her. My condolences to Jim & family- may the memories of Karen bring you comfort & peace.
