Julia Mildred Foster (nee Gregory)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Julia Mildred Foster, previously of Pense, SK. She took the hand that God offered her and quietly left us all, with the beautiful sunrise on February 25, 2024 at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility, Imperial, SK.

Julia was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2009; parents Clarence and Lillian Gregory; her brothers Don, Wesley (Catherine), sister Doris (Dave) McBride; and in-laws Jack and Clara Foster, Falten Silzer, Helen Younghusband, John Ronning and Kenton Petkau, grandson-in-law.

Julia will be lovingly remembered by her children Janice (Bruce) Nuttall, Stephen Foster and Susan (Doug) Wolff; her grandchildren Michael (Lori) Nuttall, Robin Martens, Jenna Nuttall (Scottie), Carie (Darcy) Carter, Christopher (Courtney) Foster, Quinn (Julie) Wolff, Clare Wolff (Liam); great-grandchildren Harley, Beckett, Lola, Ali, Cruz, Aven, Benjamin, Reiss, Jack and Grady. Julia is also survived by her sister Vera Silzer; in-laws Alice Ronning, Ede (Ted) Stawarz and Tom (Norma) Foster. Julia is survived as well by many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom were very special to her.

Julia was born May 19, 1931. Julia grew up in Eastend, SK. She attended business college in Regina, SK and met Frank Foster and was married August 28, 1954. They moved to the Copford farm by Pense, where they had three children and farmed in the coulee. They moved to Pense in 1966 and Julia continued to work for the government for many years, and then worked for the R.M. of Pense till her retirement. Julia lived in Pense until the summer of 2013 when she moved to Regina, until her last move this past December to Imperial LLVIF where she remained till her passing.

Thank you to all the staff at Broadway Terrace, Harvest Haven and Imperial LLVIF for their care, kindness and compassion.

A Celebration of Julia’s Life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pense Town Hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Pense All Saints Anglican Church, Box 401, Pense, SK S0G 3W0 or LLV Auxiliary, Box 114, Imperial, SK S0G 2J0.
