Desjarlais, Joseph "Bunky" Leonard

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our brother, uncle, brother-in-law and father, Leonard, after a brief illness. Family and friends knew Leonard by the name Bunky. He was born on October 8, 1938 and raised in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. He passed away at the Indian Head Hospital, Indian Head, SK on April 20, 2025.
Bunky was predeceased by his partner Shirley(Davis); parents Joseph Leo and Mary Louise Desjarlais; his brothers Albert, Fred, Tony, Ronald, JayDee, Raymond, James, Ducky and Butch; his sisters Elizabeth, Margaret, Delphine and Barb.
Bunky is survived by his sister Grace Racette; sons Vince and Leon; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lebret, Saskatchewan. Interment in Fort Qu’Appelle Cemetery, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. Special thanks to the medical staff of Indian Head Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
