John McLean

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John McLean, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle & friend.

John is survived by his loving wife & best friend Alice Andreas.

John also leaves behind his children Janet (Trent), Jill (Kevin), James, Ajineen (Paul).

John was blessed with five amazing grandchildren who he adored & absolutely loved spending time with, Stevie-Jean (Jake), Ashley (Jade), Jett (Logan) Beckett & Cove.

John was also blessed with two adorable great grandsons Jaxon & Jamison.

John is also survived by his four sisters Jess Ann (Rogy), Sharon (Ron), Linda & Kathy.

John’s happy place was his lake cottage where he spent much of his time tending to his beautiful flower gardens, enjoying happy hour with lake friends or simply taking in the picture perfect view of Last Mountain Lake.

John was a great squash player in his day holding several "John McLean” Squash Tournaments which were always a BIG hit. From squash John moved on to play racquetball, handball & most recently pickleball.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations in memoriam to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 204 - 3775 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK, S4S 6W8.

John was a champ of a man. I have memories of him that span 40 years from watching him on the squash court at the Bubble to being babysat by him at his house to conversations of current affairs at the YMCA.

John, you will be missed.

Janet, Jill, James and Alice. I am so sorry to hear that John has passed. John was a great friend to my dad, and always there for him as he went through his struggles with cancer. I remember the fun we all had at the Lake and at the cottage too, and the times around the squash club when John would give me a tour of the court. Recently I was able to meet John for a drink. He spoke so proudly of you and his grandkids. My sincere condolences.
