August 14, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann Goudis. Jo-Ann passed peacefully with her friends and family at her side on August 14, 2023.
Born on December 26, 1955 Jo-Ann was the seventh of eight children born to the late Harold and Evelyn Goudis of Beaverton, Ontario. Left to celebrate her life are her siblings Jeanne Brand (Jozef), George Goudis (Katherine), Mary Wallace (late Walter), Dianne Scott, Jim Goudis (Debbie), Kathe Lahti (Wally), many nieces, nephews, special friend Len, friends and co-workers at Canada Life and her extended family of caregivers (Home Care and Regina General Hospital). Jo-Ann was predeceased by her parents and sister Nancy Huestis (Rob). She was reunited with her fur baby Bea and is already missed by her special fur guardian Misha.
Jo-Ann loved her work and recently retired after celebrating 48 years with Canada Life. She had many friends at work and was able to say goodbye to those that could visit her or call Jo-Ann in her final days. It meant a lot to her.
Jo-Ann was known for telling it like it is and living life on her terms. Although she was struggling with a terminal disease and had physically struggled through much of her life, she was always positive and kept her ability to laugh.
We thank all who loved her and supported her over many years.
She will be remembered with affection and greatly missed.
She is in a place of peace and rest and will be forever in our hearts.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of Jo-Ann would be appreciated. A Private Celebration of Life and Graveside Service will be performed at a later date in Ontario.

Very sad to hear of Jo-Ann's passing. I remember her fondly from our years at Crown Life in Toronto. She was one of the adventurous ones that took the trek out west where she obviously put down roots and stayed. My sympathies to her family and friends.
