November 17, 2024
With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our wonderful mother Jaynanne Elizabeth Flannery (nee Peachey) on November 17, 2024.
Jaynanne was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Ken Peachey; niece Cydney Weir; sister-in-law Margaret Peachey. Jaynanne is survived by her daughter Lindsay Flannery; sons Glenn Flannery (Jemma) and Neil Flannery; grandchildren Liam, Kieran and Kailyn Flannery; her brothers Kevin Peachey and Bruce Peachey (Anne); her sister Susan Weir (Don); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Born and raised in Regina, Jaynanne attended McNab and Lakeview Elementary Schools and Sheldon-Williams Collegiate. As a young woman, Jaynanne joined the Canadian Armed Forces and though she left the service to focus on her family, she was very proud of her time spent in the Forces. Jaynanne dedicated her life to her family. She proudly retired from Sysco Food Service after over 30 years in the food service industry as a server, management and administrative positions. Jaynanne developed many lifelong connections through her life and was loved everywhere she went.
One of the proudest and happiest moments in her life was the purchase of her cottage at the lake where she spent her childhood. It was home sweet home for many years. Summer brought sun, surf, sand and time spent with family - her happy place-even if that meant drawers full of special rocks, crayfish claws and all kinds of treasures. A lifetime of gatherings-stays of friends and family were her favourite times. These memories will always fill our hearts with love and happiness when we think of her.
Mom, your warm heart, happy smile and unconditional love was your most selfless and amazing gift and for that we thank you. Though the time we had together was too short, we will cherish every moment.
Where have all the flowers gone.....They are never gone Mom, they are planted in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held when the warm weather returns and the flowers bloom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jaynanne's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada or a charity of your choice.
