November 1, 2023
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Jim on November 1, 2023 at the age of 68.
Jim was predeceased by his father Paul Yourex, mother Colleen Clark, father-in-law Nelson Hay, mother-in-law Jean Hay, his brother Glenn Yourex, sister-in-law Janice Yourex, his sister Carol Williams, niece Carly Williams, brother-in-law Gord Reid, and brother-in-law George Hay.
Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn and daughters Jennifer (Michael) Schaeffer and Candice (Grant) Butz, along with his grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas and Luke. He is also survived by his siblings Bette (Gary) Roberts, Judy Reid, Virginia (Len) Jordan, Michael Stauber, sister-in-law Diane (Rick) Muir, sister-in-law Sue Bourassa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim was a successful entrepreneur, owning and managing his business, Royal Decorating, for over 40 years. After the passing of Jim’s father he continued farming in Success, Saskatchewan. He also had a special talent for woodworking, completing countless projects as well as custom pieces that were enjoyed by many family members and friends over the years. Jim found great enjoyment hunting and fishing with his friends throughout his life, he shared and passed this love on to his grandchildren who were able to enjoy these activities with him often. Jim had a wonderful network of friends that he enjoyed socializing with, but above all Jim loved being with his family. They meant everything to him as he did to them. He will be greatly missed.
We want to thank the medical staff at the MICU in the Regina General Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan.
