Obituaries

Jacqueline Donna Thiessen, late of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023 at the age of 85.

She was born in Sexsmith, Alberta on May 28, 1938. Jacquie lived in various locations in all the Prairie Provinces and a short time in Ontario during the course of her life. Jacquie was predeceased by her mother Lorene, father John and her sisters Gerry and Darlene. She is survived by her 3 children Ronald “Brent” (Paula) Thiessen, Robert “Bob” Thiessen and William “Will” (Tamara) Thiessen; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her sister Cheryl. She also left a contingent of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that will mourn her passing.

She was affectionately known as Auntie Jacquie to the neighbourhood kids wherever she lived. Jacquie loved to play Scrabble and Cribbage and enjoyed crafting and reading. Jacquie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Jacquie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
