On hearing of Auntie's passing, I reflected upon all the visits back and forth between Moose Jaw and Chamberlain throughout my childhood. Auntie Genevieve and Uncle Armand were constants in my life back then. I remember them opening their home to me, one more kid in the house, during the two years I sang in the same choir as nearly all of my cousins. Looking back, I can see the love and open heartedness of my aunt, her ready laugh, and at times, stern looks (I wasn't always the best niece). I'm sorry for her passing as her loss is enormous, but happy that she's rejoined Uncle Armand and the two can once again walk together.

I have known your family for over half a century and am blessed with the privilege and immensely good fortune to fall in love with and marry your eldest daughter! Thank you and thank God for her! She is the most kind, loving and gentle soul, yet incredibly strong woman that I know and our family would not be what it is without her! I know that your beloved husband Armand, “Dad B,” to me, is waiting for you and of course he has the place spotlessly clean for the two of you! I can see him having a cup of strong coffee and a fresh baked Dutchy donut. He has poured you a glass of your favourite red wine, perhaps added a dash of Sprite or an ice cube or two; and with that familiar smile he greets you saying, “Welcome home, my bride!”

Bon voyage, Genevieve! Rest in peace, “Mom B”!

Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our hearts keep the love. Our minds hold the memories.

With heartfelt sympathies, -Dennis Tempel

We send our heartfelt condolences to the entire family on the passing of Genevieve. I, Duane Tempel, knew Mrs. Bérubé in my younger years as I am Dennis’s brother and brother-in-law to Nicole. She was always very kind and good to me as I saw Mr. and Mrs. Bérubé many times in my teen years. I was happy to know that she lived a good long life. God bless the family during this difficult time and may you find comfort in each other and in your loved ones.

So much love for you Grandma! I'm happy you got to have one last summer out at the lake. You are so loved. Condolences to the whole family.

I was so sorry to hear of your mom's death. We all really enjoyed her during her time at St. Angela Merici Residence in Saskatoon. I always had good conversations with her, that usually included a song and a prayer before the end of the visit. I know how deeply she loved each of you and how she cherished spending time with you. May the memory of her love and the assurance of her arrival in heaven give you all comfort.
