March 27, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ferris Ferris announce his passing. Ferris was born on December 17, 1940 in Hodgson, Manitoba and passed away on March 27, 2025 at the age of 84 surrounded by loved ones at the Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Regina Pasqua Hospital.
Ferris was married to his wife of 59 years Leslie (nee Jorgensen) on April 17, 1965. Ferris met Leslie while working in the oil patch and staying on her parent’s farm while taking board and room at her grandmother's house in the same yard. Ferris went to trade school and became a bricklayer and after their marriage they moved to Regina and remained there to raise their family. He was a very hard worker and a perfectionist at his trade. They had two daughters Nancy (Jim) and Donna (Todd). He greatly loved and enjoyed his grandchildren Micheala and Wyatt Meyer and Andrew and Rachel Morgan.
Ferris enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, skidooing, playing cards and watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved to joke around and have fun with family and friends. He enjoyed going for coffee with his coffee buddies and hanging out with his friends. Ferris was always up for an adventure or to be there to lend a hand to help out his family or friends.
Ferris was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Melanie Ferris; his brothers George and Albert; his sisters Anne and Margaret; his loving in-laws Harry and Marion Jorgensen. Ferris is survived by his loving wife Leslie of 59 years; his two daughters Nancy (Jim) and Donna (Todd); grandchildren Micheala (Cody), Wyatt (Aimee), Andrew (Aubrei) and Rachel (Zane); his sisters Lila and Mary; his brother John; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Ferris will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He requested there be no funeral service and will be laid to rest with his parents at a later date.
