Eva Redler passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 99.
Eva was predeceased by her loving husband Edmund Redler; son Tony Redler; daughter-in-law Rose Redler, grandson-in-law Trent Blaus and great-granddaughter Geneveve Melenchuk.
Eva is lovingly remembered by her children George Redler (Lynne), Marie Birchard (John), Philip Redler (Maria) and Katherine Janssen (Lance); daughter-in-law Carla Redler; grandchildren Jeff Redler (Angie), Patti Blaus, Michael Redler (Melanie), Corey Birchard (Martine), Dawn Birchard-Stewart (Shamus), Daniel Birchard (Sandra), Belinda Rau (Tommy), Jennifer Redler (Aaron), Trevor Redler (Jana), Tiffany Waschuk (Mike) and Tyler Redler (Jessica); ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Eva and Edmund immigrated from Germany with their six-month-old son, George in 1949. They settled in Saskatchewan and farmed in many communities until they built their homestead near Vibank, where they raised their five children. Eva and Edmund worked hard on their farm and built a good life for their family. They travelled to Germany (many times), France, other European countries and the United States before they felt they were too old to travel. After leaving the farm, Eva and Edmund moved into Vibank and enjoyed retirement visiting and playing cards with their friends. Eva was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) and helped out with many events within her community. Eva and Edmund moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in 2008 and lived in an apartment in Hamilton Plaza where Eva once again made many friends. Eva loved to visit, play bingo and put jigsaw puzzles together. Eva moved into Qu’Appelle House Special Care Home at the age of 96. There she once again made many friends with the other residents and staff. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the excellent care provided by the nurses and staff at Qu’Appelle House Special Care Home. Eva will be cherished forever in our hearts and memories.
A private interment will be held in Vibank, Saskatchewan at a later date in the Spring of 2025.

Our sincere sympathy to her family. She was a nice hard working lady. When we visited your parents at Vibank we would never leave without having a meal. I always enjoyed my visits with your parents and later with your mother at Hamilton Plaza and Qu'Appelle House.
