Edward Anton Fuchs, late of Bethune, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at the age of 87.

Edward was born April 18, 1938 in Bethune to parents John and Ida Fuchs. He married Doreen Shatkowski of Bethune on December 7, 1961. Edward farmed at Bethune his entire life.

He was predeceased by his brothers Brian and David; brothers-in-law Willis and Morley; sisters-in-law Karen and Doreen; and his special dog “Buster”.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife Doreen; son Ken (Shawna) and their children Caitlyn (Johnny) and Cole; son Wade (Cindy) and their children Derek (Jamie), Chanda (James) and Alana (Josh); son Warren (Tracey); son Darcy and his children Jackson and Ginny; great-grandchildren Linkin, Lyra, Ivy, Myla, Ava, Liam, Burkley, Ada, Tayton, Etsyn and Lula; siblings Marie Curtis, Lorraine (Chuck) Lowe and Cathy (Gerald) McKechnie; brother-in-law Alec Shatkowski; along with countless extended family and friends.

Edward was a mixed farmer who had a love for the land and cattle. He was involved in 4-H for years and was the Bethune Beef Club 4-H leader for 25 years. He enjoyed curling and was a board member of Bethune Curling Club. In his later years he enjoyed helping Doreen in the greenhouse and garden, the weekly trips with fresh produce to Craik and Highwood Beach, loved playing cards, socializing at the 50 Plus Club in Bethune and family gatherings during holiday seasons.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the K + S Community Hall, Bethune, Saskatchewan. In Lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Edward’s memory to the Bethune 50 Plus Club, Box 290, Bethune, Saskatchewan S0G 0H0.
