Ron was born on October 5, 1936 at the family farm near Strasbourg, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan on Friday, June 30, 2023 with his loving family by his side.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Helen Finch; his sister Ethel of Strasbourg, Saskatchewan; his in-laws Gilbert and Annie Ritsco of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; and his loving wife of 40 years Lillian (2003). Ron is survived by his son Dale (Leah); daughter Rhonda (Donald); granddaughter Bobbie (Perry); great-grandchildren Robert, Lilly and Adaline; grandson Daniel all of Bengough, Saskatchewan; and daughter Lisa (Stephen) of Calgary, Alberta.
Ron enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ron will be sadly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him. There will be no service as per Ron’s request.

I am sending my condolences to you all. Ron was my cousin and when my Mom came over in 1946 as a war bride, she stayed at Strasbourg with Aunt Helen and Uncle Alf. My Mom had just spent the war years just outside of London, England. Ron was 10 years old and my Mom was 18 years old. Ron realized early on that my Mom would believe anything he told her, so he was always teasing and taunting her. My Mom missed her brother who was 7 years old and being with Ron helped her from being too homesick. Mom passed away in September 2022 so they are probably having a good time being reunited. Losing a parent is not easy at any age. Hugs from Edmonton.
