September 30, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Eddy Eberts on September 30, 2023.
He was predeceased by his parents Ed and Lucy and his brother David. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his wife Kim; children Richelle (Daniel), Nicholas and Hannah; and extended family and friends.
Eddy’s happy place was tinkering on engines, wood working and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was known to say he could fix anything but a broken heart, even then he came pretty close with his warm hugs and bad dad jokes. He was a proud father, husband, uncle, son, brother and friend. He loved deeply and would give you the shirt off his back. His ability to turn a bad situation around, take life with a grain of salt and a good laugh was his superpower. He will be forever cherished, deeply missed and will live on in the wonderful memories he gifted us. In addition to Eddy’s happy place, he took great pride in the many years he was a member of the Regina Elks, contributing to helping children in our community.
Eddy’s Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Parish Hall, 2020 Winnipeg Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eddy’s memory to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, Canadian Mental Health Association (Saskatchewan Division) Inc., or a charity of your choice.
My heart felt condolences to Kim and all of my cousins in the Ebert's Family on yet another loss in as many years.... I have so many memories of your family growing up in the 60's & 70's & early 80's and little Eddie was always part of that!
Rest in peace cousin, and I pray godspeed to the creator!

My deepest condolences to the Eberts family. My heart goes out to you all as you reflect back on the impact Eddie made in your life. He was such a memorable guy, he always made me feel accepted in his presence. I appreciated how easy going he was and how he had our back when we were kids. I have so many memories from the Eberts farm and I loved how involved Eddie was with his kids. He always spoke fondly of each of you every time I got to see him. He was one proud Dad and he was the only bus driver that could get away with speakers and a subwoofer in his bus… the kids gotta have a good time too! Rest in peace Eddie. Big hugs.

Kim, Hannah, Nick, and Richelle - I have few words but many tears to express how much I am missing Eddy. He was a small man with a huge heart. He left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of his friends and neighbours and on almost everyone he met. He would drop everything to give anyone a hand. Tough shoes to fill. I miss having our "Peanut Gallery" jokes, laughs, and world-problem-solving discussions. He was my mechanically inclined, woodworking, gardening, barbecuing, meat smoking, joking and laughing best friend. He may not be just next door now but he is even closer.....in my heart. RIP Eddy!
