Dolly Sawyer (nee Clark), late of Regina, Saskatchewan, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at Lakeside Home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the age of 84.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband John in 1988, her mom and dad Louis and Minnie, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Left to celebrate her life are her sons Calvin (Monica) and Brad (Vivian). Dolly also leaves behind grandchildren Calee, Matthew, Ryan and Braden, great-grandchildren Eythan, Dayvinee and Kaydenz to cherish her memory. She is also survived by 2 sisters and one brother.
Did You Know? Dolly grew up in a 2 story Farm House. It has 5 bedrooms upstairs for the kids and 2 downstairs, one for mom and dad and 1 extra (it's still standing). Dolly had 9 brothers and sisters. They enjoyed playing Ball together! And they always had to herd sheep together. Dolly used to love playing the guitar now she no longer can. Advice she would give to the younger generation is to live good, your life is short! Dolly has traveled to the Caribbean on a trip she won off the radio. She had smoked from age 6 to 65 where she quit cold turkey after her sisters' death. Dolly's favourite memories are of Christmas time. No particular Christmas as they were all good. She worked testing cream in the dairy, the higher the cream content the higher the pay for the farmers. Her favorite animals are Horses and never owned a car. Something that brightens her day is getting rid of staff in her room. If she could have one wish it would be to have her mom and dad back.
Private Family Graveside Service will be held with interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, Saskatchewan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeside Home, Wolseley, Saskatchewan or Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan .
