April 23, 2023
With heavy hearts we share the passing of our sister Diane on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Diane passed away at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice with her sisters and family friend Eleanor at her side.
Diane was predeceased by her parents Bill and Clara Grover and her nephew Albert Lowenberger. She is survived by her brothers Wayne and Billy and her sisters Judy (Don), Linda and Debbie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Diane worked for Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation where she retired after 25 years. Being a “people person” she soon after got a job at the Southland Mall where she got the chance to talk and laugh with numerous customers. She had an extraordinary sense of humour. She would tell people daily it was her “birthday” even though it wasn’t then would laugh when they believed her. She loved to go to the mall or the park just to watch the people.
Diane loved playing BINGO and was part of a group of ten friends she played with regularly, referring to them as my bingo buddies. The family would like to thank these friends Lydia, Penny, Eleanor Mclean, Bobbi Mackisey, Eleanor Hodel, Ruby, Margie, Wanda and sometimes Mike for their help and support for Diane. Her love of cheeseburgers earned her the greeting of “here comes cheeseburger” whenever she approached the concession stand at Bingo at which time she would just laugh and say “absolutely”.
Diane lost her best friend last December 2nd, her little dog “Dakota” who loved to tease and torment Diane with love.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctor at Wascana Grace Hospice for the excellent care given to Diane. They would also like to thank Lori Haid from Saskatchewan Health Authority for all her help and frequent visits to Diane’s bedside.
A very special thank you is extended to Eleanor McLean and Bobbi Mackisey for all the help and support given not only to Diane, but to Linda and Debbie as well. You can’t know how much you’re appreciated.
At Diane’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Memorial donations, in memory of Diane, may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.

I grew up on the same street as Diane. We too had a large family. It was a fun block with so many kids! We may have lost touch over the years but those childhood memories last forever . My deepest condolences to all of Diane’s siblings and families. RIP Diane
