Dave was born in Montmartre, SK and spent most of his life on the farm just south of Mutrie, SK. Most recently he had moved into a house in Glenavon, SK where he was enjoying his new life in town. He took pride in his yard at the farm, building a large deck on the house, planting flowers and putting in yard ornaments that he built himself. He had only just started working on his yard in town but he had already put his mark on it with his eagles, blue solar lights and the unique rocks he had collected while driving down the backroads near the farm. He was an excellent woodworker and enjoyed building yard ornaments, bird houses and various other small projects. He was also an avid collector of eagles and cobalt blue glassware.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Glenavon, SK on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. A private family interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dave’s name may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 200 - 455 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK, S4W OG3 or at www.cancerfoundationsask.ca.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the ICU at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina with a special thank you to Dr. Whittemore and Nurses Brittany and Franklin. We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to LaRae Beebe, Clinical Oncology Social Worker at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, for her compassion and care during Dave’s struggle with his illness.
“Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.”

So sorry to hear Dave’s passing. Would always enjoy our visits with Dave whether it was a BBQ or a Christmas tree trimming. He always had an interesting perspective and a great sense of humour. And if I was having a bad day, just driving past his yard would lift my spirits. David is going to be missed. Our condolences to his family.
