David Earl Chambers

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Earl Chambers announces his passing on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the age of 87.

Dave was born in Saskatoon, SK, to Guy and Cecile Chambers on October 18, 1938. He had a long, successful career with SaskTel in various positions, retired at the age of 55 and never looked back. He was a loving husband, an amazing father and a terrific grandfather/great-grandfather, who was hardworking, caring, friendly, and very dedicated to his family. Dave was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NFL football and playing cards, but most of all, he loved snuggling with his wife.

Dave is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years Vivianne; his sister Verna (Chubb) Blanchette; daughter Bridgitte (Malcolm) Prentice; son Wayne; son Michael; daughter Sandy (John) Nippard; daughter Katherine (Rick) Smith; daughter Carolyne (Jeff) Sax; niece Brenda (Paul) Schergevitch; nephew Guy (Colleen); grandchildren David, Darryl, Michael, James, Alexandra, Paige, Samantha, Alyssa, Brett, Kasandra, Angeleena and Isaiah; great-grandchildren Austin, Skylar, Madeleine, Jase, Nash, NeVaeh, Broyden, Tate, Ben and Emersyn. Dave was predeceased by his parents.

Dave will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Honouring Dave’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Flowers gratefully declined. A Private Family Gathering to Celebrate Dave’s Life will be held at a later date.
