February 20, 2024
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Darla Jean Enns on February 20, 2024 at the age of 60.
She will be forever remembered by the love of her life, Percy, and their children Derek (Katelynn) Enns, Nicole Enns (Mike Tumak), and Dylon Enns (Kelly LeCren); her beloved grandchildren Dominic, Kallie and Kamilla Enns, Evie, John and Grace Tumak, and Madelyn Enns; her siblings Terry (Jackie) Orban, Kirk (Shelda) Hess, Kent (Tracy) Hess and Lorelei Orban; as well as parents Tony and Esther Orban and Henry and Eva Enns. Darla was predeceased by her mother Jean Hess; and two brothers Corey Orban and Kevin Hoffman.
Darla was born in Regina, SK and spent the majority of her life there. She spent a lot of her younger years staying with aunts and uncles, and summers in the Punnichy area. Darla was an avid baseball player and spent many years of her life playing. She has always been into crafting; spending many hours painting her Dad’s moulds and always had multiple projects on the go. She graduated from Thom Collegiate in 1981, and went on to work at a jewelry store and the Hudson Bay Wholesale after high school. It was at this jewelry store in 1983, where she first met her future husband, Percy Enns. Darla spent 27 years working at ISM until 2015, and most recently worked at Milleker Financial Inc.
Percy and Darla were married on July 5, 1986. They became parents the following year. Darla was the most loving, devoted mother to all three of her children, and to this day was very involved in their lives. In 2009, Darla became a grandma for the first time. Her seven grandchildren are her pride and joy, and she has dedicated her life to being the most loving, involved grandma, who would do absolutely anything for her grandkids.
Darla cherished her time spent with her family and many friends. She loved taking trips to Puerto Vallarta, attending Rider games, having drinks at Creekside, sitting around the firepit, golfing at Sherwood Forest, playing Pokemon and bingo, and caring for her many plants. Darla had the ability to make anyone feel comfortable wherever she went, and she was a light that will never be forgotten.
Darla was loved by so many, and there are no words to describe how much she will be missed.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Regina General Hospital MICU and Emergency Units for their care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Livestream link to the service is available at: https://www.speersfuneralchapel.com/obituaries/Darla-Enns?obId=30877058.

Sending my deepest condolences to Percy and family on the loss of Darla. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of getting to know Darla and Percy through my great friends and PV neighbors, Gina and Dennis Kolish. I will cherish the memories of good times spent together in Mexico. Darla lit up the room wherever she went with her beautiful smile, her laugh, and her fun and friendly personality!! A big loss for all and my heart goes out to her family and her many friends! I would say rest in peace, but I think Darla will carry on smiling, laughing, and having a great time spirit side. She'll be with all of you always without a doubt. Much love and hugs to all. Wanda xo
