Crystal Dawn Meed

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our daughter, mother, sister and friend at the age of 43 years.

Crystal is survived by her sons Taylor and Ethan Meed; her parents John Meed and Sylvia (Earl Bucsis) Meed; her brother Jim (Jacquelene Halliday) Meed; step-siblings Robert (Caitlyn) Bucsis, Bradly Bucsis and Ashley Bucsis; step-nieces Lillian and Vivian Bucsis; uncles Mark (Lori) Meed, Wayne Kragh, Vernon Kragh and Ron (Tracy Messner) Kragh; her aunt Joy-Ann (Tom) Blewett; grandmother Doris McPherson; as well as numerous cousins. Crystal was predeceased by her grandmother Doreen Meed; her grandfathers Marcus Meed and Albert Kragh; her step-grandfather Douglas McPherson; her uncle Brent Kragh; and her aunt Lynette Kragh.

Crystal was an accomplished hairdresser and was well known to give family and friends amazing haircuts. She also worked as a bartender and waitress at many establishments around the city of Regina, Saskatchewan making many friends.

Crystal enjoyed the outdoors taking ATV rides with her Dad and biking around Lumsden, Saskatchewan and Regina. She also enjoyed time at her Mom and Earl’s cabin on Pasqua Lake, Saskatchewan quading in the hills, sitting around the campfire or sunbathing on the boat floating around the lake.

As a young girl Crystal was involved in the Girl Guides of Canada then joined the first all female Venturer Company with Scouts Canada. She participated in the Campanoe Challenge and in her third year took a canoe trip down the Churchhill River in Northern Saskatchewan. Her Venturer Company also attended a Scout camp in England where she met many youth from around the world. Crystal finished the trip by touring Europe, gaining many fond memories.

Memorial donations in Crystal’s name may be made to the Regina Humane Society or a charity of your choice. A small family gathering will be held at a later date.

Dear Taylor, Ethan, Jim and family:

Crystal came into my life in 2004 and I was truly blessed to have come to know her over the years since then.

Crystal absolutely loved rollerblading. I will never forget blading with her when she was pregnant with Ethan. We spent a lot of special times together - she was a true friend and an absolutely beautiful person.

I am regretful to not have had the opportunity to help over the past few and say goodbye.

I know that Crystal would want her boys to know how much she loves them.

My sincere condolences,

Kayla DeMars-Krentz
