April 8, 2025
It is with extreme shock and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Colette on April 8, 2025 from heart failure.
Colette is survived by John, her loving husband of 54 years. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren - her son Jim Grundy and his wife Heidi and their children Harriet and Oscar, her daughter Janine Grundy and her son Pearce, and her son Dean Grundy.
Colette also leaves to mourn her best friend Carol, with whom she enjoyed coffee and conversation on a regular basis.
Colette was predeceased by her parents Jim and Elsa Coté, her brothers Jim Coté and Jed Coté and her sister Dianne Ball. She is survived by her sister Karen Kennedy.
Colette’s entire working career was spent at the University of Regina, where she worked in various administrative positions and retired after her role in the Engineering Department.
At Colette’s request, there will be no funeral. A private family interment and celebration of her life will be held later this summer of 2025.

My sincere condolences to the Grundy family on the passing of Colette. Our mother was a coffee friend with Elsa many, many years ago back when we all lived on Sussex Cr. Then on the rare occasion when our parents might go out, Colette would be the sitter for my sister & I. I'm 70 years old so you can see how long ago that was. May Colette's soul rest in eternal peace.
