Tessmer, Brian

Brian Tessmer

We are saddened to announce the passing of our brother Brian Tessmer after a lengthy battle with a heart condition on February 25, 2026 at the age of 67.

Brian was predeceased by his father Len Tessmer (2002). He is survived by his mother Thelma Tessmer; his siblings Elle Lewis, Neil (Kathy) Tessmer, Sharon (Bart) Mitchell, and Karen (Jon) Burke; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Brian lived his life with three great passions - family, friends, and working. Giving up trucking after 40 years on the road was devastating for him, and he struggled to find a new purpose. During his past couple of years in and out of the hospital, nothing made him sadder than missing coffee with his friends. On the days he was able, he would go to Tim’s to reminisce with his buddies - always the highlight of his day.

He loved being with family and celebrating together. If he wasn’t teasing the kids, he was the first to ask, “Where’s the crib board?” and was always ready for a game.

Brian will be dearly missed by his family and friends but never forgotten.

No formal funeral will be held. The family will gather for a private memorial in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to your favourite charity in Brian’s name.
