Brandon Darryl Welder

It is with the heaviest of hearts and deeply sadden loss of our fellow community member, Brandon Darryl Welder; Beloved husband, father, son, cousin, nephew, has passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK on July 5, 2026.

Left to celebrate his life are his wife Nicole; Daughters Jasmine, Brooklyn; Son Connor; Grandfather Albert Metz; Mother Karen Metz (Brian Sayers); Father Darryl (Erin); his Sister Kennedy. He has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brandon was predeceased by his Stepfather Wesley Popescul, Grandparents Yvonne Metz, Jeannette Metz, Joe and Hilda Welder, Uncle Don Welder, Aunty Debbie Welder, Grandparents Jh and Phyllis McMillan.

Brandon was born on Sunday, December 11, 1983 at 11:53 p.m. He lived in Regina until 1991, when he and his parents moved to Assiniboia, SK. He graduated in 2001. He worked for Patterson Grain, GWR and for the Town of Assiniboia, all of which he enjoyed. In the past 2 years Brandon was working for the Highways Department. Loved it. Loved the challenges of the job; the new equipment to operate, the new skills he was developing and of course his boss and his co-workers. He was a strong proud hardworking man who wasn’t willing to compromise his morals and values. He lived his life to the fullest, filled the room with hearty laughter, off-coloured wisecracks and always left you with a good feeling about yourself.

Brandon had so many outside of the family brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. Brandon truly was an undeniable blessing given to all who met him.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre, Assiniboia, SK.
