September 16, 2026

It is with extreme sadness and broken hearts we announce that Quincy Grohs, beloved husband to Carmen, proud and loving Dad to Cash and Cohl, stepdad, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, grandpa, cousin and good friend to so many passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026.
Quincy was born on January 17, 1972 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Louise Grohs, Mike and Una Kolenich, and his Aunt Sandra Hynds. He is survived and will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Carmen, sons Cash and Cohl, furry buddy Tig, stepson Kyle Hildebrand (Jessica) and grandchildren Kamdyn, Karson, Karder, Kailey, sister-in-law Wanda Hildebrand, his parents John and Margaret Grohs, sister Andrea Gibson (Darcy), nieces Kayla, Deleah (Taylor) and nephew Jarred (Consuela), as well as his great-nephews and nieces Walker, Axten-Beau, Houston, Oden, Bronxton, Oaklyn and Arla, his Uncle Norm and Aunt Eleanor, Uncle Sam Hynds, numerous first cousins and many friends. We were not expecting or prepared to lose Quincy so soon. He had been in complete kidney failure for almost two years, and on dialysis 4 times a week. Given his health issues which were complicated by diabetes and neuropathy, it had been a difficult time for Quincy. We are told he passed away from natural causes and did not suffer in any way.
Quincy loved Carmen, Cash and Cohl, and his furry buddy Tig with his entire heart and soul. He loved his entire family, his many friends, band mates and his Grimstone fans with all of his big heart. He loved hard and protected his loved ones fiercely.
His love of music and everything Dodge/Mopar was a big part of his life and brought him so much joy. His dream of having a rock band as a kid became a reality and he spent many years as a very successful drummer with his band, Grimstone. They were an awesome local band with a big following of fans that were entertained for many years with great music. Once he met Carmen and they had their family with Cash and Cohl, they became his first love and his priority in life. He was a devoted husband and father. His sense of humor and stories he loved to tell about good friends from days gone by will never be forgotten. He made us laugh so hard!! He was a hard worker and every employer he ever had thought the world of him. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed more than words can even express. He leaves behind a legacy of love so deep which will live forever in our hearts.
A very special thank you to the management and staff at YQR Regina Airport for everything they have done for Quincy. They have truly gone above and beyond for him and his family. He loved his job at the airport very much and all the people he had the pleasure to work with. Thank you to the Hemodialysis Unit at the Regina General Hospital for taking care of Quincy during his weekly visits for dialysis.
A Celebration of Life for Quincy will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. in the Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Road, Regina, SK. Rest and rock on in peace dear Quincy. We love you so much!!!
I was so sad to hear of Quincy’s passing. Lots of love to Carmen and the boys and the rest of the family. Big hugs.
Sad to hear this news and I’m so sorry for your loss. Quinny was an old buddy from way back. We worked together and were good friends during my time in Regina. If you remember the purple bus, those were some good times. We stayed in touch even though we were in different cities and We shared the love of music. He was a beauty. I'll miss that guy. Everyone will.

As a cousin of the late Jason Miller, who passed away back in 2014, this sad news brings back a lot of fond memories of Dysart in which I knew Quincy and many of his other friends. The hockey games and parties were the best times and my cousin spoke highly of Quincy and he was always nice to me and helped me feel welcome and accepted amongst the Dysart crew. I haven’t seen Quincy in about 35 years but I often wondered how my cousins friends were doing. I see Quincy was a dedicated husband, father & band member. Even though I wasn’t a close friend I remember those care free days when I’d see my cousin at their farm north of Dysart… a town I would describe as an incredible town with great people. Quincy certainly was one of them. I hope wherever they are that Jason has welcomed Quincy with open arms and are having beers & catching up. To his family & close friends, my deepest sympathies.

To the Grohs Family- I am so saddened to hear the news that Quincy lost his battle with kidney disease. Please accept my heartfelt condolences in this tragic loss.
I met Quincy as an infant when he shared his Jolly Jumper with my daughter Jennifer. We lived next door to each other on Argyle St in Regina and Margie babysat Jenn while I worked. I remember Quincy as a big boy and a sweetheart of a big boy. His smile never changed.
My thoughts are with you all as you navigate this journey you never wanted to be on. Quincy’s struggle is over. May he rest in peace. Who knows, he may even run into Jennifer after all these years. Joan

Wow! I hardly know what to say! I'd heard roomers he was with health issues! I felt he was a great guy. Friend, Fellow musician, "brother of the beat"! Perhaps he'll get to hang with Bonham and the greats now! Greatly missed he will be.
So you should view this fleeting world -- A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream, A flash of lightening in a summer cloud, A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream."

While I only met Quincy a couple times, his presence and demeanor spoke volumes about him. The loss of a father and husband is devastating at any time. The life of a man who was loved by so many, will be remembered for the good he did and will forever be cherished by those who loved him. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Carmen, Cash, Cohl, Andrea, Darcy, John and Margaret Grohs and family, there are no words. Quincy was one of my oldest friends. His love for Mopars and Rock music is my love. There are so many memories growing up together and even as our lives complicated with our own, we were always in touch! I will miss him everyday, but his memory will be eternal. Rest easy big guy...to our concert together in the sky!
