Marlene Theresa Getz (nee Mayer) passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025.
Marlene was born on April 30, 1939 in Vibank, SK. She is survived by her sons Karl (Leonora), Lyle (Lynette), Stacey (Cory) and Monte (Deanna); grandchildren Tyrel (Melissa), Cody-Lynn (Cody), Holly (Damon), Beth (Sheldon), Tierra and Justice; great-grandchildren Jackson, Raelle, Scotti, Rhen, Blake, Autumn, Luke and Kathleen; her sister Lorna Mayer; in-laws Clarence and Delores Getz, Evelyn and Fred Paslawski, Diane and Edwin Beaudin; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Marlene was predeceased by her husband Alphonse; infant son Joseph; parents Henry and Mary Mayer; parents-in-law Michael and Veronica Getz; her brother and sister-in-law Anthony and Patsy Mayer; her sister Marie Mayer; and in-laws Wendelin and Janet Getz, Alex and Theresa Sidloski, Mary and Emerson Seguin.
Marlene enjoyed dancing, reading, knitting, crocheting and playing cards and games with family and friends. Marlene and Alphonse enjoyed 67 years of marriage and are once again reunited, dancing and playing cards together.
A Private Family Graveside Service will occur at a later date.
