Marlene Anne Callfas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marlene Anne Callfas on June 12, 2025, in Regina, Saskatchewan, at the age of 70.

Marlene was born on December 25, 1954, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Bernard and Francis Borowski. She was the third of eight children raised in Glenavon, Saskatchewan.

Marlene will be remembered with love by her former spouse Glen, her daughter Michelle (Cory) and her son Jamie (Kristy). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jessie (Branden), Landen (McKenzie), Riley (Hailey), Teryn, Jaxon (Sydney), and Aubrey, as well as her great-grandchildren Brielle, Jaxton, and Beckum. Marlene is survived by her beloved mother Francis Borowski, and her seven siblings. She was predeceased by her father Bernard Borowski.

Marlene had a zest for life and lit up every room she walked into. Known for her vibrant personality and natural charm, Marlene had a way of making everyone feel welcome. A true social butterfly, she made friends wherever she went. She was also incredibly hardworking and dedicated to her long-standing career as a mortgage specialist with the Royal Bank of Canada. Her professionalism and commitment not only earned her respect in the industry, but also gave her the opportunity to travel—something she greatly enjoyed. In retirement Marlene settled back to Regina closer to her family. She took great pride in the countless hours she spent volunteering at the Government House.

Marlene will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends, her generous heart, and her unforgettable laugh and style.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Marlene’s Life will be held at a later date.
