Obituaries

On Monday, March 25, 2024, David Lewis Jones, late of Dilke, SK passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years.

He was predeceased by his father Ivor Jones, mother Lois Jones, wife Deborah Jones, friend Marj Currie, and nephew-in-law Tanner Robertson.

Dave is survived by his son Dylan (Andrea) Jones and grandsons Nicholas (Marianna) and Cohen; daughter Dayna (Brice) Reynoldson and granddaughters Rileigh and Gracie; his sister Ann (Jeff) Self, niece Rae Robertson and her daughters Reese and Jade; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.

Dave’s love for horses was abundant to anyone who knew him. He was a kind man who always helped everyone else before himself. Dave started working in the insurance industry as a young man, while continuing to work on the family farm. Later in life he retired to Weyburn, SK where he enjoyed spending his days out at Rough Bark Arena with his great friends.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on Units 5D and 3A for the wonderful care they provided our dad. We would also like to thank Saskatchewan Patient Transfer Services for donating their service and Rough Bark Arena for bringing the horses to allow dad one last visit.

The Celebration of Life will be held in the Canadian Italian Club, 2148 Connaught Street, Regina, SK on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
